So I’m writing from my iPhone on the train to a friend’s house in Elwyn. Ben always makes great pizza and last time even made a vegan nooch sauce for me! It’s his aunt’s recipe, and she happens to be the author of several veg cookbooks. I know one is on soup and another on beans. Anyway, for this post I will reveal my contributions to tonight’s meal: those kickass Mexican hot chocolate snickerdoodles I recently wrote about, and because one type of cookie isn’t enough, yrr’s oatmeal cookies. I love them as is but had to make some changes today based on what I had. Canola oil and applesauce instead of marg, okara instead of silken tofu- that’s the leftover cooked soybean goop from when I make soymilk. To my delight it works just fine as a sub here, and I added a bar of German dark choc. With nuts and raisins chopped up. Mm mm! Ok typing on this phone is getting annoying. That’s all for today !
